The show must go on, says Didier Drogba
• Attack on Togo team 'left us shattered'• Concerns remain over security at Africa Cup of NationsDidier Drogba maintains the Africa Cup of Nations must continue, even though the attack on the Togo team bus has left everyone "shattered".Togo's prime minister, Gilbert Houngbo, has denied the country want to re-enter the tournament in Angola, having pulled out after three members of the group died as a result of last Friday's attack.Concerns have been raised over the safety of the teams remaining, many of whom have top European stars in their squad. Ivory Coast play their opener against Burkina Faso in Cabinda today. A minute's silence for the victims of the attack on the Togo team was observed before kick-off.Drogba said: "We are ready, but the events of Friday have left us shattered. I have spoken with [Togo and Manchester City striker] Emmanuel Adebayor and it was a difficult situation for them."We have to show solidarity with them, though, and support the decision they have taken. We are all sad to see them leave the biggest competition for African players, but that is life."Africa Cup of NationsTogoIvory Coastguardian.co.uk © Guardian News & Media Limited 2010 | Use of this content is subject to our Terms & Conditions | More Feeds
